About harvest:

harvest is a growing independent based in Birmingham, UK, producing organic skincare, hair care and home scenting products. All their packaging is minimal, recyclable or biodegradable. We can’t get enough of their Agarwood incense and love the rosehip and eucalyptus hand and body soap.

Fair Pay and Good Working Conditions:

harvest’s signature range of products are all handmade in small batches at the store. Their soaps and incense are handmade especially for harvest by likeminded makers, designers and artisans who all share the harvest ethos. harvest also provide a range of complimentary accessories and homewares carefully sourced from ethical and trusted suppliers. All staff are paid above minimum wage, receive their facial skincare for free as well as a generous staff discount on other items and working conditions are exemplary within a supportive and nurturing environment.   Are your products made anywhere else?

Sustainable / Organic Materials:

All harvest packaging is recyclable / reusable (glass bottles and jars, recyclable plastic pumps).

harvest ingredients come from the finest UK suppliers, certified organic and low carbon footprint. Suppliers who source ingredients externally are certified and therefore all their ingredients have to be organic, natural and ethically produced.

Sustainable Practices:

harvest works on a low waste, sustainable basis. No toxic chemicals are used in any of their products, reducing negative environmental impact.

Animal Welfare:

harvest maintains a cruelty free stance and do not and would never test on animals. All products are suitable for vegans bar the calming cleanser and cocoa and spearmint lip balm which both contain beeswax due to its nourishing properties.

Packaging:

All of harvest packaging is recyclable and reusable. They use recyclable cardboard and paper for wrapping and an overall minimal packaging approach.

Social Responsibility:

Pricing of products is fair and consistent. harvest prefer to reflect real people in a natural setting in their marketing materials and don’t use filters or retouching tools. Equally they don’t use advertising language that is persuasive or influencing and are careful not to ‘over promise’.

Charity / Community Contributions:

harvest support local communities by offering support and advice in a calming and safe environment. harvest collaborate with and promote local makers and skilled craftspeople who reside in the local area.

They also support local charities and local schools by offering products as raffle prizes to raise funds.
