With eco-innovation at the heart of their approach and radical transparency of their pricing structure on each product page of their website, Oliver Co. are a vegan accessory brand with a strong ethical and sustainable stance.  Using materials such as apple and wood leather and Global Organic Textile Standard certified organic cotton, their products are minimal, practical and timeless.

Fair Pay and Good Working Conditions: 

Oliver Co. factory is a beautiful and light space based in the centre of Bucharest. They have a good relationship with their factory and visited them in 2019. The workers earn an average to high salary in comparison with other manufacturers in Romania and they hold ISO 14001 environmental certification. Their factory ethos is to be considerate of the projects they take on, ensuring that the workers are motivated and engaged with their work, and take pride in the products they produce. Sustainable / Organic Materials

Oliver Co. specialise in vegan accessories using innovative materials. The main materials used are apple leather (which is a by-product from the fruit juice industry) and wood leather which is made from FSC approved wood that is bonded to a cotton base. Their linings are made from cupro, organic cotton, tencel and recycled polyester.

Sustainable Practices: 

Their apple leather is OEKO-TEX certified and their wood leather contains FSC approved wood dyed using a water-based dye.  Their organic cotton is Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certified. Tencel is certified with the EU Ecolabel. Their recycled polyester is made from REPREVE, the only eco-performance fibre with U TRUST verification to certify recycled content claims.

Animal Welfare: 

Oliver and Co. are a vegan brand, to eliminate the human, environmental and ethical effects associated with leather production.

Sustainable Packaging: 

Oliver Co. use packaging with high recycled content including tissue paper made from 99% recycled pulp and 100% recycled info cards.

Social Responsibility:

Oliver Co. have a radically transparent pricing strategy with a breakdown of their costs and margin on each of their product pages. All of their photography is done in house with minimal retouching.

Charity / Community Contributions:

Oliver Co. are part of the 1% for the planet, a scheme where businesses donate 1% of their profits to environmental charities and not-for-profit organisations.
