About Palm Jewellery Store: 

After creating her first piece of jewellery at Glastonbury Festival in 2014 - Megan, founder of Palm Jewellery Store pursued her interest in jewellery making by taking courses in India and Thailand before setting up Palm Jewellery Store in 2018. Palm Jewellery Store create contemporary jewellery made from recycled silver and are considered in their full operations. 

Fair Pay and Good Working Conditions: 

Palm Jewellery Store only work with suppliers with a firm commitment to their staff. 

Their metal supplier holds a number of certifications such as the Responsible Gold Certification and more and their packaging suppliers have standards in place for how they work with their suppliers and staff. 

Sustainable / Organic Materials: 

Palm Jewellery Store use recycled silver in 95% of their wares. They are currently in the process of sourcing recycled chains and earring scrolls - the only two components in the current range made from virgin material. 

Sustainable Practices: 

Palm Jewellery Store pieces are made to order, in an attempt to reduce waste. They buy supplies in bulk where possible, reducing their carbon footprint. 

Animal Welfare: 

Palm Jewellery Store is proud to be a vegan company, many items used in silversmithing contain animal products i.e rawhide hammers, leather tools and beeswax polish, Palm choose to source and use alternative vegan products and tools. 

Sustainable Packaging:

Palm Jewellery Store are conscious of the packaging they use therefore all packaging is recycled or recyclable. From recycled FSC approved thank you postcards printed with ink that does not require heating to 100% acid free cotton bags, recycled card boxes, compostable corn starch bags and recyclable tape. 

Social Responsibility: 

As a small business the opportunity to employ or hire other creatives has not materialised yet however, when this opportunity arises Palm plan to ensure it is inclusive and diverse. 

They aim to use their platform to shout about other sustainable and independent brands as well as sharing resources on important topics. 

Charity / Community Contributions:

Palm Jewellery Store have recently been involved in two charity fundraisers, one in support of the Black Lives Matter amplification with a range of other brands and one for a local animal rescue start up. They also regularly donate pieces to local raffles and plan to make regular donations to worthy causes from the businesses’ profits.
