About Sloanie:

With comfort, quality and conscious at the heart of everything they do, Sloanie is an ethical underwear brand that create everyday basics for women and men from natural materials, with impressive sustainable credentials. We've had the pleasure of trying some of these garments and can attest to the comfort factor.

Fair Pay and Good Working Conditions:

The super-soft material used in their garments is sourced from Lenzing, an organization that have robust policies and checks on labour standards. Their factory in Turkey, which produces the underwear, is Fair Wear Foundation certified. One of their packaging suppliers is a member of the Sustainable Apparel Coalition (which has a focus on labour and people under their broader umbrella of sustainability), while the other is based in the UK and therefore follows all EU and UK labour laws.

Sustainable / Organic Materials:

The primary fabric used in their garments is TENCEL Modal which is derived from tree pulp, a natural-origin material. All products are OEKO TEX 100 certified, recognizing that they are free from harmful chemicals.

Sustainable Practices:

In addition to the OEKO TEX certification, Lenzing - their primary fibre supplier is the first fibre manufacturer to be recognized by the EU Ecolabel for their circular processes and commitment to sustainable practices. Lenzing have industry-leading processes in place to minimse water, chemical, and energy consumption during the production of their materials.

Animal Welfare:

Being derived from wood sources, TENCEL Modal is a fibre free from animal products.

Packaging:

Their packaging is free of virgin plastic, with 100% recycled mailer bags, boxes, tissue paper, and thank you cards.

Social Responsibility:

As a new brand, Sloanie are excited to work with community projects and charities as they expand. To date they have supported tree-planting initiatives in lieu of ‘Black Friday’ sales.
