About The Wild Together:

London-based skincare and beauty brand - The Wild Together, make natural, organic and effective biodynamic vegan skincare products.  They believe in the restorative powers of nature and their ability to enrich daily life. With contemporary minimal branding and biodegradeable packaging, their products are a great accompaniment to a modern sustainable lifestyle.  We’ve tried the Black Collection and are big fans, with our favourites being The Essence, The Moisturiser and The Serum.

Fair Pay and Good Working Conditions:

The Wild Together partner with a number of independent producers, growers, small scale co-operatives and family run farms across the UK and globally. Due to their direct relations, they have received confirmation statements ensuring that workers are both well paid and that they work in good conditions that are in accordance with fair trade standards (where they are not officially Fair Trade certified).

The collaborators and freelancers they work with are paid in a way that reflects and honors their craft. They don’t currently have any PAYE employees but as The Wild Together grows, they aim to pay above the London living wage and create a safe and positive environment/space for anyone under their umbrella.

Sustainable / Organic Materials:

Ingredients used are 100% natural, vegan, cruelty-free, wild crafted and certified organic. The Wild Together works with a farm in the UK that is certified by the Biodynamic Agricultural Association. Certification requires complete traceability and sustainability but also includes a total environmental audit of all activities from seed, land and packaging through to composting and drainage.

When formulating their products, they chose to only include fully traceable ingredients that were not from any endangered plant species and that could be farmed ethically and sustainably.

Sustainable Practices:

Products are hand crafted by humans (not machines) and produced using traditional techniques that require minimal to no heat or water. This not only ensures the efficacy of the delicate botanicals inside their formulations but also has a lower impact on energy consumption.

They ensure that any cleaning products used in production, are also 100% plant-based/biodegradable and recycle all of their waste materials responsibly.

The Wild Together have created a relationship with their suppliers whereby their orders are packaged with biodegradable fillers and recyclable packaging. They do not accept bubble wrap or foam chips.

Animal Welfare:

Before launching The Wild Together, the founders requested and received confirmation statements from each of their suppliers (on every single ingredient) that states no raw material has ever been tested on animals, nor did it come from an animal source.

Packaging:

Packaging used is purely functional and minimal in approach.

The amber glass bottles that house their products are locally produced in the UK which lowers the carbon footprint of the packaging.  They choose to use amber glass as it is indefinitely recyclable. Due to the nature of the product they do have to use some plastic with the closures and dispensers on the bottles without a better option available.

Their labels are created on paper, using plant-based ink and a unique biodegradable film.

Their outer cardboard boxes and paper filling are fully recyclable and come from a UK based, FSC certified manufacturer where the materials are produced from well-managed forests.

Their printed paper inserts are made from recycled coffee cups and also use plant-based ink.

Social Responsibility:

The Wild Together is all about transparency and inclusivity. The founders wanted to developed a range that is suitable for everyone and that is fully customizable and mixable depending on the user’s individual skin needs. This not only cuts down on bathroom/environmental clutter, but promotes a more conscious consumerism, supporting their view that the world doesn’t need ‘more’ it needs ‘better’.

The Wild Together do not run flash sales or participate in Black Friday, neither do they believe in hyped marketing campaigns to make a quick sale.

They currently sell direct to customers and do not work with any intermediaries, distributers or large retailers. This allows them to create the best possible product - sold at fair prices - and ensures they are able to pay everyone that their brand touches fairly. It also means that they are able to cultivate direct and meaningful relationships with their customers and be of service to helping them through any question or concerns they might be facing.

Charity / Community Contributions:

With every product purchased, they donate a fixed amount to their Project Wild fund that supports community as well as the protection and preservation of our natural world.

They proudly donate to Wild.org and are currently looking at ways to partner with the Body and Soul Charity in London who directly address adverse childhood experiences with long-term wellbeing, connectivity and productivity solutions.
